Arthur Crestani Wins Archifoto 2017

Photographer Arthur Crestani wins the 2017 Archifoto Prize. Created in 2010 at the initiative of the Chamber and the European Architecture House (Strasbourg), the price rewards photographic works "of artists whose vision helps to understand the architecture, the urban landscape, the world" and aims to be the first international prize of this kind.

Arthur Crestani won the 2017 edition with his Bad City Dreams series, made in India. In this series, Arthur Crestani pictured what's going on under the state of Indian promoters, looking by all means to promote their new buildings. His pictures staged men and women in front of beautiful, promoting adds, recalling Indian tradition of studio photo, while on the background, deserted landscapes and new building coexist in the aftermath of this wild urbanization.

He will be exhibited in a space of 1000 m2, in the parking Historic Center of Petite France, empty for the occasion of all automobiles, alongside Baptiste de Ville d'Avray, Thierry Béghin, Maxime Brygo and Patrice Loubon.
